Since childhood I have struggled to establish a personal relationship with God. From the first episode of the Road Less Traveled, I could identify with Regina and Doug's experiences on the same journey. My affinity only grew as I listened to more episodes. Although their approach is from an "unapologetically" Christian stance, they do not foreclose the possibility others may have a different foundational belief in God. In episode 6, speaking of "hope", Regina and Doug specifically rejected the notion of a "cookie cutter" relationship with God. God relishes diversity, they maintain, with no limit on the paths to God. While I have watched, listened, and read different religious programming, Regina and Doug's discourse hit a fresh chord. Maybe because it is not "programming", but rather a conversation between two people simply sharing their experience, strength, and hope of their respective spiritual journeys.
